Rod Serling Memorial Foundation, Binghamton, NY --
Founded in 1985, the foundation was headed by Serling's former teacher, Helen
Foley, until her death in 2002. The
organization has held film festivals, erected Serling monuments throughout Binghamton, and created a permanent display of Serling memorabilia
in the city's Forum Theater. It continues to lobby the U.S. Post Office for a Rod
Serling postage stamp. Its large collection of Serling memorabilia,
photographs, scripts, films and tapes (including kinescopes) is available to researchers
with permission of the foundation.
Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) --
The organization which awarded Serling six Emmys, and for which he served as president
from 1964-1966. Its website includes a Hall of Fame (Serling was an early inductee)
and an archive of nearly 100 interviews with pioneers of the medium.
